How did I end up in Bournemouth last minute?

Those who know me know I go by the saying ‘YOLO’. As life is too short, I like to make last-minute plans or sometimes force myself to do this. There’s always something to distract you in life - you may forget about the original plan you had!

I decided to take myself to Bournemouth for the majority of the Easter Weekend as I’ve been interested in Sandbanks. Maybe you can guess how I discovered it but yeah…

Writing this as ”Outstanding” by Gap Band plays on Youtube TV – more bangers come on shuffle…

The Card

So, I used an interest-free credit card to pay (only for the biggest expense incurred). Quidco was the goal – here the cash-back is received.

I then intend to spend this on something I don’t enjoy spending money on i.e. taxi fund. Spending on this card essentially boosts my credit score for when I need it in the future – yes now I know.

To be honest I don’t like using credit-related items, as it is true they are only designed if one can handle them. Handling them, means having the ability to pay them back within a reasonable time frame i.e. The minimum payment by the due date. I recommend you do a bit more than that. What if you don’t need to straight away?

Firstly it would take longer to pay it back and it then becomes a burden. Secondly, make the Most of the interest-free period you have – so it is recommended to buy, payback, buy, payback as fast as you can in that period, otherwise in my opinion, there is no point.

If you have several big electrical, holidays (within reason), investments you need to make, it’s best to do them within that period.

Sandbanks

Sandbanks looks like that dreamy place you never knew existed in Hingland. I heard of Jersey before, but damn this place is insane for England! That’s saying a lot. It resonates well with Jamaica in terms of being a small island surrounded by sea.

It also gave me Nice and Cannes (previously visited) vibes especially with the yachts and tiny boats everywhere surrounded by Palm trees. Let’s talk about those yellow taxis! Was I in NY (never visited)? Wasn’t expecting that and didn’t know that was a thing in England!

Homes in Sandbanks

Some of those houses there were so beautiful and went up to millions! I for one believe that anything is possible, if you want that home you will get it. It’s a process.

There were no pictures taken of the homes simply as I believed it wasn’t right to take pictures of people’s homes (even though they were so beautiful). The mindset was that if it was ‘my home’ I wouldn’t appreciate the pictures, plus it could be my home – wink.

Went there to find peace for the weekend and inspiration. Very pleased they have been found in such a beautiful place.
